Not long ago, at the construction site of the newly built FuzhouXiamen North Railway Station, with the smooth laying of the last set of 500meterlong rails, China’s first crosssea highspeed railway was completed. This is the world's highest speed crosssea railway. It has crossed three bays including Meizhou Bay, Quanzhou Bay and Anhai Bay . According to information, this first crosssea highspeed railway is expected to open in 2023. After the railway is completed and opened to public, the travel time between Fuzhou and Xiamen will be reduced to less than one hour, forming a "onehour life circle" between the two cities.
